A back-titration is an operation in laboratory where one titrate indirectly. Rather than titrate the analyte
directly, react the analyte with an intermediary. Then, titrate the excess intermediary to
determine how much was left over. The difference between how much intermediary one added and
how much is left over is equivalent
to the amount of the analyte.
